    Job Description

    Arixas Director, Construction Management, will play a pivotal role in supporting Construction Leadership by providing guidance and oversight within construction underwriting, fund control, and asset management. This will include conducting plan and cost reviews for loans, validating borrower track record / historical performance, and managing draw escalations while maintaining exceptional customer services.     Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

    While not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, the Director, Construction Management, will be responsible for:

    Providing support and guidance to cross functional work teams in matters of construction management.

    Partner with borrowers ensuring building requirements are being met in accordance with Arixa practice and procedure.

    Oversee borrower construction draw escalations, ensuring Arixa performs withing SLA on construction fund disbursement.

    Conduct comprehensive plan and cost reviews for subject loans to ensure feasibility and accuracy.

    Interview borrowers, Contractors, or other relevant parties assessing their experience and ability to perform.

    Review all relevant construction documentation and advise on project or borrower construction risk.

    Develop plans on work-outs to optimize asset performance, including reviewing and selecting contractors or sub-contractors for completing construction.

    Oversee the preparation of weekly cash flow projections, providing strategic input to senior management as it relates to leveraging warehouse facilities, managing loan sales and funding allocations between funds.

    Special Projects

    Works with other internal teams in handling special requirements or projects. Remains current with any best practices, particularly in lending services and real estate.

    Requirements

    Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Relevant MA / MS / MBA preferred.

    10+ years of related construction management experience, including construction underwriting, process and system design and implementation, and fund control / draw control oversight.

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and partner with borrowers, construction teams, business leaders and executives.

    Broad understanding of real estate lending, valuation, and workflows; with a commitment to exceptional customer service.

    Continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to think critically about systems and processes to improve them through ingenuity, hard work and creative thinking.

    Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and related software programs.

    This LA-based position requires in-office work three (3) or more days per week, to ensure close alignment among all team members.

    Compensation

    This position is an exempt full-time role with a salary range of $135,000 - $155,000 plus potential discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance.
