    My client is one of Chicago's leading electrical contractor's who are currently partnered with one of the worlds largest Hyperscale Data Center providers.

    The Senior Project Manager holds responsibility for the comprehensive success of data center construction projects, spanning from the bidding phase and contract allocation through completion.

    Duties include task delineation and delegation, timeline establishment, cost estimation and management, risk mitigation, and fostering favourable client connections.

    The PM ensures seamless collaboration across the organization working in tandem with various departments including engineering, purchasing, accounting, and safety, as well as field supervision and external stakeholders such as general contractors and inspectors.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Oversee project schedules, finances, labor, and changes; handle materials procurement and customer interactions.
    • Cultivate customer connections, manage major accounts, and generate $1-2m in new business annually.
    • Assess material requirements, review project scopes, and finalize bids.
    • Conduct site visits, lead meetings, foster trust with field teams, and collaborate with site supervisors.
    • Provide guidance to junior PMs, manage office personnel expectations, and take charge of project finances and outcomes.

    What You'll Need for Success:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5-7+ years' project management experience, preferably in construction or a similar domain.
    • At least 3 years' experience in data center construction project management, with a preference for large Tech or Fortune 500 company involvement.
    • PMP certification is advantageous.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
    • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.
    • Knowledge of Electrical/LV/Energy Systems.
