Butzke Burch Construction is a commercial general contractor based in Urbandale, Iowa with a mission to be a value-adding partner by providing a creative perspective and encouraging a collaborative environment for all construction team members.

We are a growing company and currently hiring for the role of Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to provide additional value for our clients.

Below are a list of general qualifications and responsibilities for the position.

QualificationsLeadership, communication, relationship building, independent decision making, organization, self starter, problem-solving, and multi-tasking are all necessary skills for this roll.

Ability to take initiative and be the leader of the project team.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and have knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Experience with commercial construction estimating. Software training will be available.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project)High school diploma and industry related college degree is preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of industry experience in a related role.
Willingness to travel for projects from time to time. Most projects are located in Central Iowa.
Valid drivers license.
ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain relationships with team members.

This position will be responsible for implementing and carrying out many facets of the construction process such as estimating, submittals, requests for information, document management, punch lists and overall team leadership.

Lead pre-construction services for individual clients from concept through full construction budgeting.
Review subcontracts and purchase orders to understand the scope of work.
Understand and implement OSHA safety practices.
Work with project team to forecast schedule, manage quality and maintain safety on projects.
Strategic planning and execution of overall project operations.

Communicate with project superintendent and project engineer on a daily basis to ensure day to day operations are running efficiently and safely.

Lead project progress meetings with clients, design team members and trade partners.
Coordinate material procurement and timing of deliveries with project engineer and superintendent.
Manage and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Support project team in other tasks as assigned.
