Pay:
$20.00/hour
To ensure the safety of children, child care licensing and transportation regulations have been established by the state of Ohio.
They must adhere to these policies and procedures during ALL field trips, routine trips, and anytime children are transported to and from the center.
The bus driver is responsible for ensuring the program is fully compliant with ODJFS Guidelines for Transportation/Field Trip Safety-JFS 01233 and ODJFS Transportation/Field Trip Safety Ratio/Second Adult-JFS 01267 during routine trips and field trips.
Bus driver must also:
- Be willing and able to impart information and orally communicate with children, families and others.
- Be willing and able to understand and respond to oral communications and directions.
- Be willing and able to read, write, understand and respond to written instructions, communications and materials.
- Have the capacity to ensure the safety of, observe, and assess all situations involving a child, a group of children and co-workers.
- Have mobility, strength, and dexterity to be able to lift a child weighing up to 40 pounds; interact at each child's level; and retrieve children who wander and/or run from the group.
