    Opportunity:

    CT Technologist - CT Tech

    Job Details:


    • Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

    • May be required to work holidays, on-call, and callback shifts per unit needs

    • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans following department safety protocols

    • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services

    • Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort

    • Insert IVs when necessary for contrast-enhanced examinations

    • Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques

    • Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all components within EPIC

    • Identify images and ensure proper transmission to PACS system upon exam completion

    • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility environment

    • New York State licensure required (must obtain prior to starting position)

    • Completion of formal training in approved School of Radiologic Technology required

    • Maintain certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

    • Injection therapy certification required on NYS license at time of submission

    • Two years of experience required with Level 1 Trauma Center experience

    • Six months of Siemens scanner experience required

    • BLS certification from American Heart Association only

    • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred

    • One year of Epic experience highly desired

    • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

    • Maintain patient and compassionate disposition while working as a team player

    This academic medical center serves as a Level 1 Trauma Center providing comprehensive healthcare services to the region. The facility utilizes advanced imaging technology including Philips and Siemens CT equipment and maintains electronic health records through Epic systems. The organization emphasizes patient safety protocols and maintains high standards for diagnostic imaging services while supporting a collaborative healthcare environment.
