    Description
    Primary Purpose of Position

    Functions as a technician performing a variety of studio, lab, and technical duties to support the studio hours of the professional crafts programs.

    Essential Job Duties
  • Ensure lab safety procedures are maintained at all times
  • Maintain clean and orderly studio and lab conditions
  • Perform general safety audits
  • Supervise students in an open studio and lab settings
  • Recommend supply purchases to Professional Crafts Program Manager
  • Respond to the needs of the students within the studio and lab setting
  • Secure building and equipment at end of shift
  • Report noted equipment or building repair needs to Professional Crafts Program Manager
  • Complete accurate and timely reports of any injury that occurs in the building during shift
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Contact Security as needed to report any activity that is of concern during the shift
  • Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge to operate a variety of crafts equipment safely
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service and organizational skills
