    The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) is responsible for the mental and physical well-being of the community by ensuring the public's health through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and education.


    The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) can work in a variety of institutions such as the community, hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities while collaborating with state regulators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to keep the community safe and healthy.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Active Nursing Licensure in the state practicing
    Two (2) years of public health or community experience preferred
    Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
    Current CPR if applicable
    TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
    Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
    Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
    Must be at least 18 years of age
