    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
    This position works under supervision of the Senior Weld Engineer and is considered entry to intermediate level. Learns to apply knowledge to non-routine situations, seeking guidance when needed. This is a Night Shift position, from 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM.

    Assisting the automated and manual weld processesAssist in continuously improving welding operations through process evaluation and research into new technologiesSupport project engineering on new and existing programsAssist in specifying welding equipment, welding consumables, electrical and mechanical systems, robotic systems, and any related components associated with the welding processAssist in evaluation processes and procedures to maintain or improve weld parameters and weld efficiencyAssist in development of the weld quality control processAssist in designing, developing, and testing welding methods, materials, processes, and resultsStrong interpersonal skills required for effective communication and coordination with all departments and customersInterface with all facility departments to assist in resolving welding process issuesFollow OSHA Guidelines and promote safe work environment within the weld engineering teamRequired ExperienceDesired Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in weld/robotics engineering or equivalent(CWI, CWE)


    A minimum of three (3) years of related technical experience in manual and automated welding processesKnowledge of manufacturing processes, product designs, safety, quality and workflowKnowledge in robotic welding and material handling applicationsKnowledge in robotic programming (ex.

    ABB, Fanuc robots, etc.)
    Understanding of electrical/controls circuitry and schematicsKnowledge of AutoCAD and weld drawingsGeneral knowledge of the following:

    Weld power source, wire feeder, torch and reamerPlasma cutting, grinding and rework applicationsWeld shielding gas technologiesCustomer welding specifications and testing requirementsGas metal arc weldingResistance spot weldingAbility to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment
