- Internships are 6 – 12 months in length, depending on ministry placement.
- 40-hour work weeks typically include 4 weekdays, some evenings, and Sundays on campus.
- Continuous coaching occurs every month.
- Depending on the current need, each intern will participate in two or three ministries.
- Interns are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation.
- This internship is a temporary position that does not guarantee an offer of future employment at ACF at the end of the internship.
- Service and Participation: Interns will fully participate and serve in an agreed upon area of ministry at ACF, including team meetings, staff meetings, prayer hour, small group involvement, planning and execution of assigned projects & special events which includes but is not limited to Easter and Christmas holiday services, and assigned roles during Sunday services. Individual ministry responsibilities given to the intern will be unique, according to the current needs of the ministry area and the giftings and skillset of the intern. This ensures there will be a balanced ministry team and provide coverage over the necessary responsibilities for the ministry.
- Ministry Mentor: Interns will report to the assigned Ministry Mentor on staff for all ministry activities, continuous coaching, and weekly check-ins. The Ministry Mentor will provide regular communication, offer guidance and support, and provide feedback on areas for development or improvement. Ministry Mentors will help interns understand the "how" and "why" behind the particular ministry area at ACF, as well as provide on-the-job training experiences for the intern.
- Internship Coordinator: Interns will prepare for and participate in all intern development meetings offered by the Internship Coordinator, develop an Internship Action Plan in collaboration with the Coordinator, and report on and track progress during the internship. The Internship Coordinator will provide an internship timeline paired with specific goals and check points, so the intern knows the roadmap for their growth experience. The Internship Coordinator may provide reading, writing, online trainings, or other assignments for personal growth and professional development of the intern and will meet with the intern for a 1:1 monthly check-in.
- Life Mentor: Interns will meet at least twice a month with a Life Mentor who is a volunteer assigned from the congregation responsible for helping the intern grow spiritually and providing accountability.

To equip young leaders for ministry
Job purpose
The Austin Christian Fellowship (ACF) Ignite Internship Program is for young adults who want to investigate full time ministry with the desire to grow spiritually, personally, and professionally through ministry wide experiences. This is an opportunity for an authentic look into church leadership through 1:1 mentoring with pastors and strategic ministry placement to develop your God-given gifts and gain expertise in a chosen ministry area. At Ignite, we are focused on developing the leader inside you to ignite your heart to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
Overview
Duties and responsibilities

Intern Action Plan
The Intern Action Plan (IAP) will be developed in collaboration with the Internship Coordinator, Intern, and Ministry Mentor, and it will include personal teaching and coaching from the Internship Coordinator, Ministry Mentor, and other appointed ministry leaders. The IAP includes:
Develop clear learning objectives & steps to achieve these goals during the internship
Weekly spiritual growth opportunities
Personal Bible study
Weekly Prayer Barn involvement
Weekly participation in a small group

1:1 meetings for continuous coaching

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications
Working conditions
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
