    Job Summary:

    As a Pricing Analyst in the field of freight forwarding, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, evaluating costs, and determining competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market. You will collaborate closely with various teams such as sales, operations, and finance to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor pricing strategies, and industry dynamics.

    • Monitor changes in market conditions and assess their impact on pricing strategies.

    • Utilize data analytics tools to gather and interpret market data for informed decision-making.
    Cost Analysis:
    • Evaluate transportation costs, including freight rates, fuel surcharges, and other related expenses.

    • Analyze cost structures and identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

    • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to understand cost drivers and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
    Pricing Strategy Development:
    • Develop pricing models and strategies tailored to specific market segments and customer profiles.

    • Balance profitability objectives with competitive positioning and customer value propositions.

    • Continuously review and refine pricing strategies based on market dynamics and business performance.
    Profitability Analysis:
    • Monitor pricing performance and profitability metrics to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies.

    • Identify opportunities to enhance profitability through pricing adjustments or cost optimization initiatives.

    • Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving overall financial performance.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales teams to develop pricing proposals and respond to customer inquiries.

    • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure pricing decisions align with financial objectives and budgetary constraints.

    • Engage with operations teams to understand operational constraints and implications on pricing.
    Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain documentation of pricing strategies, policies, and procedures.

    • Prepare regular reports and presentations on pricing performance and market trends for stakeholders.

    • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal teams and senior management.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, logistics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

    • Proven experience in pricing analysis, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.

    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

    • Excellent understanding of pricing principles, cost structures, and profit optimization strategies.

    • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and forecasting.

    • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
