Job Title: Program Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Piedmont Virginia Community College

Piedmont Virginia Community College is looking for a creative and team-oriented individual to join their faculty as the Program Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The selected candidate will begin their role by August 1st, 2024. The salary for this position ranges between $80,000-$95,000 per year, depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all program aspects
• Managing student recruitment
• Collaborating with advisory board members to update the curriculum according to industry needs
• Meeting regularly with the program advisory board
• Securing clinical site agreements
• Assisting in program budget planning
• Developing and implementing a program marketing strategy

In addition to teaching, faculty members at PVCC advise students, contribute to committees, and engage in activities supporting the college's mission. This includes institutional effectiveness projects, club support, student recruitment, and more. Faculty are expected to stay updated in their fields and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in supervision, instruction, and student guidance
• Coursework in instructional methodologies
• Credentials in Abdomen and OB-GYN sonography
• Curriculum development proficiency
• Minimum 2 years of full-time sonography experience
• Strong communication skills

Other Details:
