Position Overview:

The DWED and Applied Technology Department at College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Part-Time Advanced Manufacturing - Machining Instructor to join the Advanced Manufacturing Program immediately. The ideal candidate will showcase proficiency in both the industry and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and delivering lecture classes for Advanced CNC Manufacturing
Developing student learning outcomes and course descriptions
Organizing instruction to meet student learning objectives
Managing a safe and engaging classroom and laboratory environment

Primary Teaching Areas:

Metrology
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Machining
CNC Milling and Turning
CADD and Additive Manufacturing
Automation with PLCs and Robotics
Engineering technology and technical physics classes

Additional responsibilities include program assessment, curriculum development, mentoring students, fostering industry partnerships, and continuous professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology OR equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a machining environment OR 5 years of Industrial Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive work experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Technologies
Previous teaching experience in Career and Technical Education
Leadership and Management Experience
Industrial certifications and experience with curriculum development

Starting Pay: $40.00 per hour
