Description

As a Senior Principal Architect at Infineon Technologies AG, you will work closely with IP owners to define and specify architectural and micro-architectural design parameters for our cutting-edge platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading platform architecture teams and experience with SoC architecture, IP architecture, and systems engineering. Proficiency in hardware/software partitioning, Cortex-M processors, interfaces/protocols, power management, security, and performance estimation is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product architects during feasibility, definition, and design phases to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Work with IP owners to clearly specify architectural and micro-architectural design parameters.
Develop System and IP Architecture Specifications for MXS40Sv2 and MXS22 platforms.
Guide product architects to identify and lead continuous improvements in platform development processes.
Ensure software compatibility and migration plans by working with boot, firmware, and software teams.
Support product architects in understanding platform capabilities, parametrizable features, configurable options, and platform performance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE, MSEE preferred).
20+ years of experience leading a platform architecture team used in multiple products in production.
Strong understanding of Cortex-M M0, M33, and M55 32-bit processors; interfaces/protocols; power management interfaces/protocols; security; and performance estimation.
Excellent technical writing skills for creating forward-looking hardware specifications.
Proven track record leading cross-functional teams while driving system, hardware, firmware, and software tradeoffs.

Preferred Experience:

Experience writing machine-readable executable specifications.
Hands-on experience developing solutions with heterogeneous multi-processors and efficient inter-processor communication.
Firm understanding of process isolation, including hardware accelerators.
Hands-on experience with real-time embedded operating systems.
