    • Primary engineering resource for concurrent system jobs
    • Project management and high level of responsibility for project outcomes
    • Leadership of project team members and technical review of engineering disciplines
    • Tasks include programming robots, CAD design, and specifying equipment
    • Assistance in sales and applications engineering
    • Responsible for documenting work on each job

    **Systems Engineer Job Duties and Responsibilities**

    • Support project deadlines and budget estimates
    • Coordinate meetings with customers or vendors
    • Collaborate on problem-solving approaches
    • Develop solutions for customer problems
    • Advise customers as a technical expert
    • Startup supervision for equipment at company and customer sites
    • Design automation solutions and motion control systems
    • Create CAD designs and documentation packages
    • Generate and communicate Bill of Materials
    • Supervise tasks of Mechanical Designer
    • Conduct design reviews with project disciplines
    • Work with purchasing department for project material acquisition
    • Travel requirement up to 25%
    • Other duties as assigned

    **Systems Engineer Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

    • 4-year college degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
    • 4-6 years of technical/professional training
    • Experience in motion control, robotics, vision systems, and automation
    • Preferably familiar with equipment design, especially in food packaging
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D design software
    • Ability to perform tasks independently
    • Advanced computer skills
    • Problem-solving, advisory, and procedure development abilities
    • Leadership qualities and team coordination
    • Cost control, schedule adherence, and product/service quality improvement
