Job Summary The role of a Maintenance Supervisor is to provide the necessary guidance, knowledge, and skill sets needed to properly and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot and repair Fresenius Kabi process equipment and utilities. As a Maintenance Supervisor this individual will be responsible for working across departments to coordinate the timely completion of routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, coordinating and overseeing the work of the maintenance Mechanics, as well as train new and existing mechanics. Responsibilities

Under guidance of the Manager, Maintenance, this individual is primarily responsible for leading, coordinating and overseeing routine and non-routine maintenance / repairs of Fresenius Kabi process manufacturing equipment and utilities.

Fresenius Kabi process manufacturing equipment includes but is not limited to primary and secondary fill/finish.

The individual will need a high level of mechanical, electrical and controls knowledge, and experience in order to thoroughly assess any problems with the process equipment, identify root cause, make the necessary repairs and complete associated documentation.

This individual will work across Fresenius Kabi departments (and associated department management) to coordinate maintenance activities within the master production schedule, work closely with manufacturing personnel to obtain information needed to assess equipment problems, as well as coordinate and oversee the work of the Maintenance Mechanics.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining necessary procedures required to perform routine preventive maintenance (PM).

This individual will be responsible for identifying critical spare parts needed (and then maintaining those inventories in order to minimize equipment down time and maximize production efficiencies).

Lastly, this individual will also be required to participate in cross functional teams utilizing root cause analysis tools to resolve product or equipment deviations, then implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Other essential functions this individual will need are as follows:

1. Perform all activities in compliance with company cGMP and safety policies, procedures and practices.

2. Assist in the departmental planning and development of preventive maintenance routines and associated schedules.

3. Assist in executing the PM schedules to ensure peak productivity and highest quality possible.

4. Assist in organizing and training of department personnel. Maintain a strong floor presence and enforce cGMP's, SOP's and company policies.

5. Effectively communicate with Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers and subordinates. Notify management if specifications cannot be met and/or quality or safety is being compromised.

6. Review, document work completed by employees.

7. Take ownership of department and responsibilities for all work being performed by self and subordinates.

8. Conduct employee reviews.

9. Monitor and request supplies, change parts and spare parts as needed, as well as identify and help maintain inventories of these critical spares.

10. Ensure that all safety equipment is functional and that all employees practice proper safety and follow safety procedures.

11. Exercise excellent technical, mechanical and control system aptitude / skills in order to accurately identify root causes for machine failures or break downs and the repair accordingly.

12. Maintain production equipment at a high level of reliability.

13. Ensure that Maintenance Mechanics maintain work areas in a neat, organized and uncluttered state.

14. Effectively communicate and assist with troubleshooting of equipment and machinery with the Mechanics.

15. Work on other projects as requested by management.

16. Stay current with evolving plant technology.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or work related experience.
Minimum of 3 years direct experience as Maintenance Supervisor
Experience in an aseptic manufacturing plant a definite plus.
Candidates with experience in cosmetics, food, packaging or similar will be considered
