Zyscovich is a nationally renowned integrated Urban Design, Architecture, and Interior Design firm headquartered in Miami, with additional locations in New York City, Boston, Orlando, Winter Park, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale and Bogota. Zyscovich's 46-year portfolio includes aviation, mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, retail, education, and commercial facilities.

We are seeking a Specifications Writer to support our team. As a Specifications Writer, you will be responsible for creating detailed project specifications and supporting the project team in coordinating contract documents.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project specifications and coordinate contract documents in collaboration with project teams.
• Review architectural drawings and project information to craft and edit comprehensive specifications aligned with project requirements, client standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Translate design concepts into detailed requirements, specifying materials, methods, equipment, and procedures necessary for procurement and installation.
• Conduct in-depth product and material research to support project designers in system and material selection.
• Provide technical guidance during the design development and construction documentation phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to stay updated on the latest materials and technologies.
• Contribute to the improvement of company standards, including specification templates, and best practice procedures.
• Produce well-coordinated, detail-oriented, and integrated Project Manuals with input from the design team.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of architectural practices, building codes, and construction documentation.
• Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in specification writing software, RIB Spec Link and Specs Intact preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
• 5 years in architectural practice with at least 3 years prior experience in architectural specifications development and use.
• Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) CDT and CCS certification preferred.
