The Arbegast Materials Processing and Joining (AMP) Laboratory at South Dakota Mines invites applications for a Research Scientist I position. This is a full-time benefited position. The AMP Laboratory has a history of conducting both basic and applied research in the area of advanced materials processing and joining.,
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Materials Science and Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or closely related field is required.
- The applicant should have expertise in advanced manufacturing including metal additive manufacturing cold spray processing and/or friction stir welding/processing In addition the applicant should have expertise in computer science with a degree in computer science or related field preferred.
