    Description

    Director of Nursing (DON)

    A nursing home is seeking to hire an experienced full-time Director of Nursing (DON).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement systems within the nursing department to ensure high-quality care.
    • Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations, ensuring each resident receives necessary care and services to maintain their wellbeing in accordance with their comprehensive plan of care.
    • Promote evidence-based practice in providing high-quality care and quality of life to residents through effective policies and procedures.
    • Serve as a dedicated advocate for residents and staff under their direction.
    • Foster high standards of resident care through ongoing education, adequate staffing levels, and current policies and procedures.
    • Assess, analyze, and develop systems to improve nursing department performance.
    • Leads by example with strong leadership and supervision skills, having previously served as a Director in Long Term Care.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Previous experience as a Director in Long Term Care
    • Strong leadership and supervision skills
