    Description


    We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our expanding multidisciplinary Mental Health Practice located in Port Jefferson Station, Port Jefferson Downtown and Melville locations on Long Island. This person will serve as a key member of our leadership team. Island Psychiatry, PC was founded with the aim of providing a broad range of high quality mental health services. We are looking for talented, caring, and highly motivated professionals who will advance our ability to deliver comprehensive care.

    Responsibilities: Oversee and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to patients

    • Complete psychiatric screenings and evaluations
    • Conduct examinations and consultations
    • Obtain and review lab work and evaluate other medical conditions and documentation
    • Make clinical recommendations
    • Prescribe and monitor medications
    • Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams
    • Utilize an EMR to complete progress notes and e-prescribe
    • Support in the oversight and development of programs and practitioners


    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Board eligible with the expectation of becoming Board Certified
    • Experience and comfortability with EHR systems.
