Long-Term Care HousekeepingJob Summary:

The Long-Term Care Housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring a clean, sanitary, and organized living environment for residents and a safe working environment for staff within the long-term care facility.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting the overall well-being of residents by upholding high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:

Room and Common Area Cleaning:
Perform daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and other routine cleaning activities.

Infection Control:
Follow established protocols for infection control and prevention.
Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to minimize the risk of infections.

Waste Management:
Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with facility policies and regulations

Stocking and Inventory:
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items.
Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as nursing and maintenance, to address specific needs and concerns.
Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding housekeeping services.

Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
