Machine Operators - All Shifts jnfShift Times:
1st shift (7am- 3:30pm M-F) 18/hr
2nd shift (3pm-11:30 M-F) 19/hr
3rd shift. (11pm-7:30am M-F) 20/hr
Operators are responsible for keeping the area around their machine clean and safe. They are also responsible for performing preventative maintenance on their machine per the Preventative Maintenance schedule. Operators are responsible for making rates specified on jobs and making suggestions to the Area Manager for improving processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ø Clock into MES on time and be at your machine and ready to work by your designated start time.
Ø Inform your Area Manager of any tooling needs or machinery maintenance that needs to be done.
Ø Inform the area Manager (while running the job) if you are having trouble hitting rates, so they can assist you and determine the problem
Ø Responsible for job rates, set up times, and indirect time
Ø Inform your Area Manager if you will complete the job you are working on ahead of time so he can have tooling and material ready for your next job.
Ø Communicate with the Material Handler when you are ready for completed parts to be removed or if you need additional material delivered for your job.
Ø Report any non-conforming material immediately to your Area Manager and if they are not available go to the Plant Manager.
Skills and Qualification
Ø Mechanical skills
Ø Able to read tape measures and measuring equipment for inspection of product
Ø Attention to details (read routings and set up notes)
Ø Good communication skills
Ø Good math skills
