    Many of BCI's clients are world leaders in their industries, which span a wide variety of industry segments including entertainment, broadcast, medical, professional audio/video, house of worship, education, government, military, and transportation.

    We are looking for a talented and motivated individual as a Part-time to FulltimeIntern in Embedded Software Engineering. The right candidate will have the opportunity to be a contributor in firmware development and implementation for our Pro AV products.

    This is a hands-on, part-time, temporary position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.

    BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist and participate in firmware development, design and review for new products and prototypes.
    • Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
    • Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments and create end user documentation.
    • Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
    • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
    • Participate in lab maintenance.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
    EDUCATION:
    • Student enrolled in at least a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
    SKILLS:
    • Preliminary hands-on experience in C.
    • Preliminary hands-on experience with developing firmware for Arm Cortex M/ STM32 Micro-controllers.
    • Preliminary hands-on experience with peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM).
    • Applied scripting techniques (shell scripting, Perl, Python) to improve efficiency.
    • Knowledge of hardware schematics.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    PAY RANGE:
    • $20 - $24 per hour
