    We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Professional Liability Attorney to join our legal team. As a Professional Liability Attorney, you will specialize in representing clients facing claims or lawsuits alleging professional negligence, errors and omissions, malpractice, or misconduct in their professional practices. Your expertise in professional liability law and litigation will be essential in providing effective defense and advocacy on behalf of our clients across various industries.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Case Management: Manage a caseload of professional liability matters, including claims and lawsuits alleging professional negligence, errors and omissions, malpractice, or misconduct. Conduct case assessments, develop case strategies, and oversee all aspects of case management from inception to resolution.
    2. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on issues related to professional liability law, statutes, regulations, and case law precedents. Assess the merits of claims, evaluate liability exposure, and provide legal opinions and recommendations to clients.
    3. Client Counseling: Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients facing professional liability claims or allegations. Assist clients in understanding their legal rights and obligations, assessing potential risks, and making informed decisions regarding case resolution strategies.
    4. Defense Litigation: Represent clients in defense of professional liability claims and lawsuits in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, and conduct discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
    5. Expert Witness Coordination: Collaborate with expert witnesses, consultants, and forensic experts to analyze complex issues, assess causation and damages, and develop defense strategies. Manage expert witness retention, preparation, and testimony in support of clients' defense positions.
    6. Settlement Negotiations: Negotiate settlements and resolution of professional liability claims on behalf of clients, including mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences. Evaluate settlement offers, assess litigation risks, and advocate for favorable outcomes consistent with clients' interests.
    7. Risk Management and Prevention: Provide proactive risk management advice and training to clients to minimize exposure to professional liability claims. Review and draft contracts, agreements, and engagement letters to mitigate potential liability risks and ensure compliance with legal standards.
    8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory developments and changes in professional liability laws affecting clients' industries. Advise clients on compliance requirements, professional standards of conduct, and best practices for risk avoidance and mitigation.
