    Hornig Companies seeks a full-time Building & Grounds Technician to respond to work orders in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and surrounding suburbs.

    What are some of the things I would do?

    Apartment and Grounds Upkeep:

    • Seasonal outdoor maintenance including shoveling, using a snow blower, salting, mowing, shrub trimming, weeding and brush clean-up
    • Operate small machines in the course of building and grounds maintenance
    • Building common area cleaning and light repair
    • Cleanout of units after residents vacate. May include lifting and transporting heavy items
    • Maintain pool
    • Deliver notices and other items throughout your region
    • Promote safety and be efficient in work practices

    Communicate with residents regarding repairs in a caring, compassionate manner that upholds Hornig Companies' customer service reputation as well as Fair Housing guidelines

    What should I bring to the team?

    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 2 months of employment
    • Some knowledge of operating light machines like snow blowers, lawn mowers, trimmers or carpet cleaning equipment
    • Ability and willingness to learn
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Valid Driver's License and meet car insurance requirements
    • Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Ability to operate applicable phone applications for work orders, time allocation and information look-up
    • Multi-housing experience is a plus
