    Director, Continuous Improvement - Americas Mobility Operations

    Key Responsibilities:
    Uses continuous improvement skills to identify and implement activities aligned with operational excellence strategy. This includes the implementation of programs to standardize processes, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network.

    Provides hands-on leadership and facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives across all assigned locations and works directly with local plant teams to assess, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement actions.

    Facilitates training and development to build continuous improvement toolkits (i.e., process mapping, root cause analysis, etc.) and drive consistent methodologies across the network.

    Develops and implements uniform standards and reporting processes for all continuous improvement activities. Ensures operational excellence methods and activities are adopted and utilized throughout the organization.
    Analyzes and institutes cost controls for manufacturing activities. Works across the network to ensure we are achieving desired targets and provides support when there is a gap.
    Develops a culture of collaboration and ensures that best practices are shared across the network. Common solutions to common problems should be applied as much as possible.
    Coaches and develops the Operational Excellence change agents to grow their lean knowledge, coaching and change management capabilities.

    25-50%Qualifications:


    Bachelors degree in engineering, chemistry or related field; Masters degree preferred.10 years of experience in progressive operations leadership roles with a focus on operational excellence.

    Working knowledge of multiple operations disciplines (i.e., operations, quality systems, EHS&S, Lean/Six Sigma tools, etc.) amongst products, including experience applying or implementing lean manufacturing, kaizen methodology and productions systems.

    Demonstrated capability of leading project teams to tangible results.
    Ability to balance strategic and hands-on requirements of the role with a flexible and collaborative management style.
    Must be a change agent with a record of accomplishments focusing on driving transformational change.
    Strong financial and analytical skills; must be able to develop and implement a strategy to maximize productivity and profitability.
    Ability to work across the network with strong influencing skills to achieve desired results without direct reporting responsibilities.
    Experience leading in a complex and matrixed environment and driving an inclusive and engaging culture.
    Demonstrated experience in gathering and analyzing business data and key performance indicators for senior level leadership teams.
    Flexible and adaptable to demanding and fast-paced work environment.
    Excellent communication and management skills in an international working environment.
