    Gotham companies is seeking a Per- Diem *Endocrinologist* in the Parkchester neighborhood in the Bronx.

    As an Endocrinologist, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders related to the endocrine system, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic conditions.

    Your primary responsibilities will include conducting patient consultations, performing diagnostic tests and procedures, prescribing medications, and developing comprehensive treatment plans to improve patients' health and quality of life.

    *About the Facility: *This facility is a multispecialty diagnostic and treatment center with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals offering a range of medical specialties including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Podiatry, and Endocrinology. On-site radiology services also available.

    *Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate patients' medical histories, symptoms, and laboratory test results to diagnose endocrine disorders and conditions.
    • Perform physical examinations, including palpation of the thyroid gland, assessment of peripheral pulses, and examination of the skin for signs of hormonal abnormalities.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood glucose tests, thyroid function tests, hormonal assays, imaging studies, and bone density scans.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnoses, medical histories, and preferences, utilizing a combination of medications, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic interventions.
    • Educate patients about their endocrine conditions, including the underlying causes, potential complications, and treatment options, to empower them to participate in their care and make informed decisions.
    • Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment over time, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and minimize side effects.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, dietitians, diabetes educators, and surgeons, to provide coordinated, multidisciplinary care to patients with complex endocrine disorders.
    • Stay current with advancements in endocrinology research, treatments, and guidelines through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in medical conferences and seminars.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research studies, and peer review activities to enhance the quality and safety of patient care and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge in the field of endocrinology.
    • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct, including maintaining patient confidentiality, respecting patients' autonomy, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

    • Board certification (BC/BE) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
    • Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine followed by fellowship training in Endocrinology.
    • Valid medical license to practice in NYS.
