Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our dynamic plastic surgery practice. The ideal candidate will assist in documenting patient encounters and ensuring the accuracy of medical records. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals and gain valuable experience in the medical field.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately transcribe the details of patient visits and procedures as dictated by the plastic surgeon.
Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring that all data is current and precise.
Manage patient flow by communicating with medical staff and coordinating schedules.
Assist in the preparation of medical documents, such as consent forms and procedure notes.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes.
Qualifications:
Excellent listening and typing skills with a keen attention to detail.
Prior experience in a medical scribing or similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, especially related to plastic surgery.
Proficiency in using EHR systems and other medical software.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Commitment to delivering high-quality support to healthcare professionals and patients.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Pre-medical or health sciences background is advantageous.
Work Hours & Benefits:
- This part-time position requires a flexible schedule, with emphasis on being present on every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
