Job summary
The Special Imaging Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Management team in the supervision and planning of work processes in one of the various specialty sections of Radiology services.Performs procedures as needed due to workload or complexity Ensures adequate staffing levels supplies and resources are available to perform exams and clinical services meets clinical demands Interviews counsels and completes performance evaluations Trains new staff ensures all registrations certifications up-to-date Collaborates with management staff conducts multidisciplinary meetings consistent timely communication department Facilitates goal setting monitors goals achievements annual performance evaluations Encourages employees participate Employee Satisfaction Surveys Patient Safety surveys other activities service feedback results staff Initiates plan action related areas improvement Collaborates management develops budget including providing feedback new replacement equipment services needed continued growth monitores operational budgets implements corrective action plans negative productivity operating expense variances Promotes culture service excellence imaging sections collaborating management communicates service excellence patient centeredness expectations customer satisfaction survey results Holds self-staff accountable service excellence responsibility facilitates reward recognition imaging sections Radiology Acts liaison departments develops maintains cooperative working relationships physicians medical departments gather exchange information develop implement solutions problems Assists ensuring imaging sections compliant Joint Commission Accreditation Healthcare Organizations Texas Department Health standards accrediting bodies Identifies patient requirements utilizing AIDET communicating patients ensure correct exam patient establishes rapport potential actual patients persons position understand service requirements Coordinates leads groups focusing safety customer performance improvement environment Care Employee Engagement Physician Engagement Quality Improvement Inter-Departmental Relations participates shared governance department hospital professional organizations committees LEAN initiatives projects inter-departmental committees QC assurance radiologist etc.
