    The Associate Project Developer will support Project Developers in the development of multiple wind, solar and battery storage projects in Scout's New Projects team, which includes coverage of the entire U.S.

    You will join the New Projects Development Team, reporting directly to a regional Director on the New Projects. You will work together and in parallel with other internal and external subject matter experts to progress the renewable energy projects through the project life cycle.

    Your key responsibilities will include the following:

    • Support development activities in early and mid-stage projects, including:
    • Meteorological studies
    • Environmental studies and permitting
    • Electrical interconnection studies and strategy
    • Land control campaigns
    • Wind turbine and solar array configuration and performance
    • Stakeholder relations
    • Conduct extensive GIS mapping to identify and analyze potential opportunities and constraints for wind, solar and battery storage projects
    • Lease agreement negotiation and landowner communications
    • Help coordinate consultants and external parties
    • Assist with project budgeting, scheduling reporting, and hand-off of projects to the East and West Development teams
    • 20-25% travel as project needs dictate

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • A BS or BA from an accredited college program
    • Previous coursework or internship in the renewable energy industry is preferred
    • Self-motivator with exceptional communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties
    • Excitement and enthusiasm in learning how to become a Project Developer
    • Google Earth, Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency
    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Willing and available to travel as needed (20%-25%) depending on project stage and COVID-19 restrictions

    Timeline and Location

    This position will begin as soon as possible. A later start date may be considered.

    Our ideal candidate will be able to commute to our Boulder at least 3 times per week.

    Benefits

    Target base salary: $70,000-85,000. Negotiable for the right candidate.
