    Clinician - Crisis Response Team

The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.

    River Edge is currently seeking Crisis Workers to join our team contracted to provide services in the local hospital Emergency Department.

    Location/Schedule: Bibb County/PART-TIME - evening and weekend options
    • Monday nights 5:00pm - 8:00am
    • Weekends beginning Friday 5:00 pm through Monday 8:00 am (on-call)
    • Divided into shifts of overnight coverage Friday 5:00 pm through Saturday 9:00 am

    Requirements:
    • Must have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, MH Counseling, Rehab Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy which would qualify a candidate for licensure as LPC, LCSW, LMFT.
    • Fully licensed or associate licensed strongly preferred.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • This position will be working out of the local medical hospital, primarily in the ER, completing crisis assessments on patients who present with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
    • It will be the responsibility of this staff person, working with the ER MD, to determine if the patient needs inpatient placement, to facilitate that placement, and complete the appropriate documentation.
    • This position also requires excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills.
