    Job Summary:

    The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is advertising for a non-tenured 9-month open rank Lecturer in Medical Anthropology. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the anthropology program and is expected to offer a core curriculum in cultural and medical anthropology for the anthropology major and the culture and health minor. The successful candidate will also be committed to developing a community engagement program that incorporates undergraduate students. The program can be broadly imagined and should be grounded in research in medical or applied community work related to health, illness, or treatment.
    The teaching load for the position will be four courses in the fall and three courses in the spring. The successful applicant will also be expected to significantly participate in the development and growth of the major. The position's starting date is August 2024. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2023, and continue until the position is filled.
