    Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor/Therapist

    We are seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor/Therapist to join our team at Elevated Recovery Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting evidence-based interventions to support the wellness and recovery of individuals with substance abuse and mental illness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team to analyze individual patient's treatment areas and project prescribed treatment related to substance use and abuse.
    • Complete substance abuse screenings and assessments as indicated by treatment need.
    • Facilitate and document group and individual sessions with identified substance abuse clients.
    • Collaborate with Adjunctive Therapy team and unit staff/teams on units to provide clarification and support to the individual served towards progress and needs in the area of the substance abuse problem.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the State of New Jersey and be in good standing, or b) Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in the State of New Jersey and be in good standing, or c) a Master's degree with addictions training.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience providing substance abuse counseling.
    • Experience conducting assessments, group and individual sessions with dual diagnosis population.
