    Description

    Join Our Team as an Xray L3/CA Engineer!

    The Xray L3/CA engineer will be responsible for ensuring quality Xray processes throughout the business, including Xray Computed Tomography. Collaborate with materials and design engineers, value stream engineers, shops, external vendors, and research teams to innovate and validate new material/part inspections. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee that procedures meet specifications. As we gear up for new product launches, you'll play a crucial role in developing inspection methods and implementing them in a production setting. Stay up to date with cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and automation to enhance component safety and reduce manufacturing costs.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to establish inspection requirements
    • Develop and implement X-ray/CT inspection methods for aviation development and production hardware
    • Adhere to aviation quality standards for production hardware
    • Lead technical reviews of proposed inspection methods
    • Create plans to meet technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments
    • Monitor project status and communicate associated risks effectively
    • Ensure proper documentation of technical data for projects

    Required Qualifications

    • Interest in becoming a CT L3/CA engineer
    • Completion of hours/training for NAS410 CT L2 or equivalent
    • Knowledge of digital radiography or CT for NDE applications
    • Ability to collaborate with global, distributed teams
    • Experience leading NDE development projects and working with NDE experts

    Desired Characteristics

    • BS degree in Materials, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
    • Relevant engineering experience with X-ray/CT
    • Familiarity with Digital X-ray/CT Inspection standards
    • Hands-on experience with X-ray/CT equipment and troubleshooting
    • Experience in inspection technique development
    • Knowledge of VGStudio or Avizo CT data analysis software
