- Provide comprehensive pediatric medical services consistent with specialty scope, including:
- Obtaining medical histories
- Performing physical examinations
- Developing differential diagnoses
- Ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medications and implementing treatment plans
- Obtain appropriate consultations when cases fall outside scope of practice or expertise.
- Facilitate transfer of care when necessary to ensure patients receive full care options.
- Provide oral and written health education to patients and families.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinic staff.
- Maintain productivity standards while ensuring high-quality care.
- Review and sign clinical documentation (consults, labs, imaging, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and maintain licensure requirements.
- Supervise Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners in accordance with state regulations.
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification/Fifth Pathway).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Current, valid, unrestricted State of California medical license.
- Active DEA certificate.
- Current CPR certification.
- 1–2 years of experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations preferred.
- Strong commitment to serving medically underserved communities.
- Experience managing pediatric patients from birth to 19 years, including:
- Preventive care
- Acute and chronic illness management
- Developmental and behavioral health
- Psychopharmacology
- Familiarity with quality metrics such as HRSA core measures, HEDIS, PCMH.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to complete required compliance training.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills preferred.
- Experience supervising advanced practice providers in pediatrics.
- Valid California driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance (if applicable).
- Ability to provide proof of required immunizations, TB clearance, and COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date.
