The California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA) is looking for an individual who can use a mix of communications, online tools, logistics, and human interactions to administer and grow our member-focused programs.
In this career-building opportunity, you will:
Administer CSEA's member-support groups which allow tax professionals to interact with each other and form communities that provide knowledge and experience sharing opportunities.
Administer CSEA's professional development programs, which provide education for those wishing to join the profession or increase their professional standing by becoming an Enrolled Agent or pursuing excellence in California-specific tax matters.
Onboard new members and administer the dues renewal process.Support membership growth and retention initiatives with communications and data analysis.
Function as a crucial part of CSEA's administrative staff to work closely with volunteers and other stakeholders in the management, improvement, and growth of the association's member-benefit programs.
Job and Interpersonal Skills DesiredAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Able to manage your time and schedule in a remote environment
Able to identify opportunities for personal and organizational improvement
Must display respect, courtesy, and patience when interacting with others
Prior experience in a membership association is preferred
Technical Qualifications Desired
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom
High degree of comfort using internet-based applications
Prior experience with a membership database or association management system

The Member Programs Coordinator will utilize a variety of applications and online systems, including:
Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
iMIS database management system
A variety of web-based learning, community, and communications platforms
Working Hours, Travel, and Remote Location
The Member Programs Coordinator will need to work primarily during standard business hours (M-F, 8:00-5:00) based on the Pacific time zone.
There is an opportunity for flexibility in work hours, insofar as communications with team members, volunteers, members, and the public are not negatively impacted.
The MPC will be expected to travel to CSEA's annual tax seminar, typically held during June, and will be away from home for 4-6 days.
There may be other times when the MPC will need to travel within California.CSEA board of directors' meetings are held virtually on Saturdays, 3-4 times per year, and the MPC may be asked to attend.
CSEA is a California-based organization with headquarters in Sacramento.Staff work almost exclusively in a remote environment; Sacramento-based employees will sometimes work at the office when there is a specific need.
CSEA will provide a laptop, monitor and other peripheral devices as needed. We do not reimburse the cost of employees' internet service.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and PTO.
