At a leading organization focused on protein therapeutics, the team has been at the forefront of advancements in AI protein design for over five years, with notable achievements including experimental validation of AI-generated proteins and the development of diffusion models for protein structure and sequence. They have successfully created the first fully AI computational nanobody design platform and are actively conducting tests on designed molecules in the laboratory. They've secured some serious investment from top VC's in Biotech and are looking to build out their AI resources as the company scale.

Their mission is to develop AI systems capable of designing protein therapeutics for complex and high-value targets, with the belief that AI has the potential to revolutionize drug discovery and broaden the scope of treatable diseases. The organization is currently seeking individuals who are passionate about joining the founding team and contributing to the company's growth.

Responsibilities:

• Expand and enhance the in-house deep generative modeling toolkit for various applications in molecular design.
• Conduct deep learning experiments to enhance model performance or introduce new functionalities, such as loop engineering and structure prediction of protein-protein complexes.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop systems for efficient training and deployment of deep learning models.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Self-motivated individuals who thrive on solving challenging scientific problems and are driven by results.
• Capable of critical, methodical, and creative thinking when designing experiments.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering techniques
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX
• Over three years of industry experience in data science or engineering roles.
• Demonstrated accomplishments in machine learning/deep learning within industry or academia.
• PhD in relevant Subject area, including Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied ML into any Comp Bio/Chem/Life Sciences.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge in physics, mathematics, molecular biology, chemistry, etc.
• Previous experience applying machine learning to problems in structural biology or molecular design.
• Strong record of publications.
