    Job Description

    Wesleyan College, a four-year national liberal arts college located in Macon, Georgia, seeks an adjunct instructor to teach introductory mathematics courses for the upcoming academic year. As the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women, Wesleyan remains committed to its mission of providing an academically challenging and inclusive environment that prepares women and gender minorities to live purposeful and connected lives.

    Responsibilities

    • Teach undergraduate introductory level mathematics courses
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with course objectives
    • Assess student performance and provide timely feedback

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a closely related field
    • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
    • Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in Mathematics or Math Education
    • Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses
    • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies
