    Description

    Position Overview:
    A tailor is needed to alter clothing items according to custom specifications and needs.

    In this position, the Alterations/Repair Specialist will use their knowledge of fabrics, sewing, fashion and the marketplace in order to alter pants for customers.

    Additionally, this individual will be responsible for communicating about Re-Uniqlo to guests and creating unique renewed clothing.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Execute basic repair services within a timely mannerSew hem of pants with industrial sewing machineTrim excess threads using scissorsMeasure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pantsAlter pants hemlines to fit individual customersWorking knowledge of sewing machines such as lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machinesEnsure repairs and alterations are done to Uniqlo's standardAct as a brand representative for Re-Uniqlo & Re-Use initiatives, repairs, and donationsPotentially create upcycled clothing itemsOccasionally use POS system to support customer returnsMaintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)Manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the UNIQLO service standard, following the UNIQLO Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.


    Requirements:
    At least six (6) months prior sewing/ fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring departmentHigh School Diploma or GEDStrong communication skills, fluency in English is a mustMust be able to lift up to 40 poundsAbility to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends

    Start Date:

    First week in SeptemberSalary:$20.50 per hour**The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
