    Description
    Our client is adding a Lead ETL Engineer that will build and maintain the corporate data pipelines. This role will utilize modern data warehouse modeling and tools, particularly Talend, Azure data warehouse, and SQL.

    The Lead ETL Engineer will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence and work closely with other IT staff, business users, and the Applications Development team to deliver business tools and accurate, efficient data flows.


    Day to day dutiesDesign, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Talend, SQL, Python, and other toolsWork autonomously while still delivering on timeline and qualityAnalyze and reverse engineer existing solutions, and re-develop using industry-standard best practicesWrite and optimize SQL queries (hand written) and stored procedures for data transformation and analysisWork with Azure cloud services such as Azure SQL Database to design and implement modern data warehouse architecturesCollaborate with data analysts and business users to understand data requirements and assist in data modelingEnsure the quality and integrity of data through testing and debugging of ETL processesDocument ETL processes and maintain EDW documentationValidate ETL jobs are working as intended prior to releasing to the business usersResolve user support issues for BI pipelinesServe as a technology liaison remaining informed on data technology trends and provide expert evaluation regarding potential external data tools and applications for considerationParticipate in after-hours support (2 days a month) for the production environment, including on-call support.

    This will include supporting upgrades or troubleshooting activities that must take place outside business hours.

    Maintain and review security policiesMust have skill/experience:


    2+ years of experience in ETL development, with a strong focus on modern data warehouse modeling solutionsExperience with Azure cloud systems including Azure Data Factory, strong data modeling and data warehousing experience.

    Experience\u00A0with Talend and SQL including handwritten queries and stored\u00A0proceduresExperience/exposure using and directing data flows to/from ERP software and 3rd party systems to API level.


    Experience with SaaS systems such as:
    Salesforce, WorkDay, OneStream, EtQ, QMS, ComplianceWIre or other SaaS systems for data processingFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g.

    Jira)Nice to have skills:
    SAP HANA and Data Warehouse experience\u00A0Specific ERP Module experience (Finance, Supply chain etc)API experience parsing JSONExperience with Azure Data Vault and other IT security systems
