    SUMMARY: The Wastewater Supervisor is responsible for providing management and oversight of wastewater/residuals treatment and disposal operations at the company renewable diesel production plant in Hugoton, KS to ensure reliable operation and compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and permits.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Perform and oversee wastewater/residual treatment operations to optimize treatment for land application of wastewater and consistent compliance with laws, regulations, and permit requirements.

    · Oversee cross-functional support team to ensure successful wastewater/residual treatment operations.

    · Perform regular inspections of wastewater equipment, conduct root cause analysis of failures, and coordinate with maintenance and management teams regarding proactive and reactive repairs and replacement.

    · Participate in regulatory inspections of the wastewater treatment system and support EHS compliance personnel in regulatory reporting and recordkeeping responsibilities.

    · Develop, implement, and maintain a formal wastewater operating system program that documents policies and procedures for the wastewater and residuals system.

    · Develop objectives and management plans for the wastewater/residual treatment system that align with company's strategic goals.

    · Develop, train, and coach other plant staff supporting wastewater/residuals operations to grow knowledge and expertise in wastewater/residuals operations and assure compliant 24/7/365 operations.

    · Communicate regularly with operations, maintenance, and EHS compliance teams regarding wastewater/residual treatment system performance.

    · Maintain complete and compliant recordkeeping practices.

    · Drive company goals and initiatives through proven leadership skills and regular communication with plant employees.

    · Maintain a safe, clean work environment.

    · Participate as a member in the facility response team planning and operations.

    · Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.

    · High school diploma or GED required.

    · Wastewater Level II (or higher) Certification required.

    · At least 5 years of related experience required.

    · Some travel required for training, conferences, to other company's plants, or other purposes.

    · Ability to work with hand tools to perform minor maintenance activities required.

    · Ability to read, write, and present clear, accurate, and concise reports and business correspondence using standard Microsoft Office programs.

    · Must possess the ability to solve problems and evaluate process logistics.

    · Ability to effectively communicate with plant management and provide analysis as needed.

    · Strong working knowledge of PSM elements including Lock Out/Tag Out and Management of Change preferred.

    · Strong working knowledge of applicable permitting processes preferred.

    · Refinery experience preferred, but not required.
