Under the general direction of the Assistant Controller, Accountant III will perform accounting functions requiring a thorough knowledge of general accounting methods, principles, and practices, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and general ledger.

In addition, this position advises and directs teams and answers complex questions, functions as an expert resource for the department and helps provide leadership in managing departmental operations and major projects.

Annual Salary Range:
$58, $86,153.00

Qualifications


Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting-related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Prefer experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.

Requires thorough knowledge of general accounting, both in accrual and cash basis.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must possess good customer service and communications skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.

Requires strong analytical and organizational skills, effective problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Must have proven teamwork skills and can recognize when you can help the team complete all daily and monthly tasks.

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
