2nd shift CNC MachinistJob Summary of 2nd shift CNC Machinist: Local manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The CNC machinist will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring the production process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Responsibilities of 2nd shift CNC Machinist

1. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine specifications and requirements.
2. Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
3. Program CNC machines using CAM software or manual programming methods.
4. Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.
5. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
6. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments to machine settings.
7. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
8. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used, production rates, and machine maintenance.
9. Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements of 2nd shift CNC Machinist:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
2. Proven experience as a CNC machinist
3. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
4. Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
5. Familiarity with CAM software and G-code programming.
6. Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
7. Excellent attention to detail and precision.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
9. Good communication and teamwork skills.
10. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
