    The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join our team as faculty in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. The successful candidate will join a team an extraordinary clinical team of perinatologists who serve as consultants for high-risk obstetrical patients. This position includes an active clinical practice by providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge through research, and educating and mentoring medical students and residents. We are particularly enthusiastic about engaging with physicians who possess a strong mission-oriented approach and a fervent commitment to tackling health disparity and maternal mortality concerns. Our team serves a significant Spanish-speaking population, making Spanish language proficiency a valuable asset.

    The Division of Obstetrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine is one of five clinical divisions including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Womens Pelvic Health Program, Reproductive Endocrinology and Gynecologic Oncology. There are approximately 30 MDs or MD/PhDs in the department plus supporting administrative, nursing and research staff providing care at various Temple University Hospital locations.

    Situated in the heart of a diverse urban area, the Katz School of Medicine is acutely aware of the impact of the national systemic problems related to the lack of health equity and access to affordable, culturally responsive healthcare. In response, Katz works to address issues that promote health equity through education, care delivery, workforce development, and research. LKSOM recognizes that an environment enriched with persons from varied backgrounds working to address health disparity enhances scholarly work and the development of a culturally aware and responsive healthcare workforce.

    Temples steadfast dedication to the comprehensive care of womens health throughout their reproductive journey is made evident by the development of the new TUH - Women & Families campus located just 3 miles from the main hospital. This facility will include 13 labor and delivery rooms, thirty-six private post-partum rooms, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit with 41 bassinettes, as well as six operating rooms and an intensive care unit. There will be a fetal testing center and 50 examining rooms in the outpatient area where breast health, bone health, behavioral health, primary and specialty care will be provided in addition to Ob/Gyn. Diagnostic and interventional radiology, pharmacy, blood bank, and laboratory services will be provided on site.

    Candidate Qualifications

    • MD, DO or Foreign Equivalent
    • Fellowship trained in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
    • Board Certification or Active Candidate in OB/GYN and MFM
    • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license & DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
