    Global Compliance

    Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

    About the Role

    The Core Compliance Team is at the forefront of delivering robust compliance risk management in adherence with regulator expectations. We are looking for a team member who can help drive our compliance learning and communications program forward, by collaborating with divisional compliance teams, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to design, implement and oversee timely completion of firmwide compliance trainings and communications. A candidate should demonstrate comfort with different communication styles, ability to explain complex regulatory compliance topics and create and maintain strategic and sustainable processes for compliance training and communications.

    We are looking for someone who is equal parts visionary and executor. At times, the role will require you to navigate and problem solve with multiple teams and interested parties, bearing in mind timelines and a senior audience. Examples of duties include:
    • Contribute to the development, review and analysis of training courses that are assigned across GS
      • Incumbent must be comfortable engaging with all levels of staff across the firm
    • Perform reporting and analysis on training completion and training effectiveness
      • Develop training completion reporting and training effectiveness measures
      • Establish tracking and oversight processes to drive timely completion of mandatory training
      • Analyze data and produce meaningful reports to different levels of management
    • Develop regular communications that message critical compliance topics and provide important updates to staff
      • Incumbent must be comfortable digesting complex topics and generating material to help wide audiences understand
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Compliance, HCM, Legal, Risk, Executive Office
    • Partner with and direct vendors to produce content in appropriate ways that meet GS expectations
    • Respond to requests from outside regulators and internal audit
    Basic Qualifications:
    • 5 years minimum of experience in Core Compliance
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Professional experience in handling various learning and communication objectives
    • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, with an ability to learn new tools quickly; Alteryx experience is a plus
    • Strong understanding of Compliance program mandates and the objectives of learning and communications at large financial institution
    • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deadlines
    • Leverage strong communication and relationship-building skills in frequent interaction with other areas of the firm, in particular, senior stakeholders
    • Demonstrate resiliency and creativity when under pressure and when managing time-sensitive demands from competing stakeholders
    • Experience in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail
    • Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned task
    • Multi-task and have the ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Identify and effectively escalate potential issues to appropriate person(s)

    Salary Range
    The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$ In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
