    Description

    Job Title: Senior VMware vCenter and VMware Horizon Engineer

    Location: Remote, but must live within driving distance of the Greater Cincinnati, OH area.

    Responsibilities:

    Design and Deployment:

    • Collaborate with architects and system administrators to design and deploy VMware vCenter and Horizon environments.
    • Ensure scalability, performance, and high availability of virtualized systems.

    Configuration and Optimization:

    • Configure and manage vSphere clusters, resource pools, and virtual machines.
    • Optimize resource utilization, including CPU, memory, and storage.
    • Implement disaster recovery solutions using VMware technologies.

    Security and Compliance:

    • Apply security best practices to virtualized environments.
    • Monitor and address vulnerabilities.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    VMware Avi Load Balancer:

    • Design, configure, and manage VMware Avi Load Balancer instances.
    • Implement load balancing for applications and services across the SaaS platform.
    • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune load balancing algorithms.

    Troubleshooting and Support:

    • Troubleshoot issues related to vCenter, Horizon View, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
    • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve performance bottlenecks.

    Automation and Scripting:

    • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation tasks.
    • Streamline repetitive processes and enhance efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification preferred.
    • Proficiency in vSphere, vCenter, and Horizon
    • Proficiency with Dell Blade Chassis and Dell Blade Servers
    • Familiarity with CISCO / Meraki Ethernet Route / Switch Technologies
    • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
    • Strong scripting skills for automation.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
