Goldschmitt and Associates is searching for a FOIA Analyst I to provide FOIA support for policy and program offices within a government agency.

This position is a Hybrid role and requires commuting to the USDT office in Washington, DC twice per week.
The anticipated annual salary for this position is up to $70,000,
dependent upon experience.
 

Responsibilities

    ,
      ,evaluate exemptions,and determine appropriate redactions to ensure compliance with FOIA laws and agency policies
      Apply legal expertise to interpret FOIAsuch as those related tot national security,personal privacy,and commercial information,and make informed decisions on disclosureand redaction
      Effectively communicate with requesters-agency staff/legal counsel-and other stakeholders todo address FOIInquiries,negotiate the scope of therequest(and resolve complex issuesSupport required will involve various assistance-related duties todo respond torequests records pursuant ttheFOIALaundry,discussing confidential business information,intra-agency pre-decisional-and deliberative information-or attorney work product-and personal identifying informationPromote transparency within the government agencby disclosing non-exemptinformation directlyto requestors(and making proactive disclosures of non-exemptinformation readily accessible via the government online electronic reading roomAppropriately apply Exemptions1-7 when responding tFOIArequests Utilizeto manageand processFOIAXpress
