Position Summary:
ACNP or PA-C full time position in the Neurocritical Care Unit.
There is an opportunity to work with the Department of Neurocritical Care as an ACNP or PA-C caring for our NeuroICU patients.
The Neurocritical Care Unit is a 24-bed unit caring for critically ill traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, brain tumor, spinal cord injury and stroke patients.
The role involves providing advanced practice care in collaboration with the physicians and Neurocritical Care team. The provider will direct the clinical management of the critically ill and injured patients.The provider's practice with a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the Neurocritical Care patients.
As part of their professional role, they integrate education, research, leadership, and consultation into their clinical practice.The ACNP or PA-C will demonstrate this through nursing and resident education, participation in the division's research mission and projects, hospital committee membership and leadership, and providing continuity of care for hospital staff, patients, and their families.
Position Qualification:
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's prepared Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, FNP with critical care experience or Physician Assistant
Tennessee state licensure and certification as an ACNP or PA-C is required
Emergency Neurological Life Support Certification Required.
