    Job DescriptionSalary:

    Are you passionate about improving the quality of sleep for individuals? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sleep Technician to join our team on a full-time basis for the night shift. As a Sleep Technician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, helping patients achieve better sleep and overall well-being.     This position starts out as part time and works to full time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform overnight polysomnographic (PSG) sleep studies and maintain accurate records of physiological data during testing.
    • Apply electrodes and sensors to patients according to established protocols to monitor sleep-related parameters.
    • Monitor patients throughout the sleep study, ensuring the accurate collection of data and adjusting equipment as necessary.
    • Recognize and respond to any equipment malfunctions or adverse patient events during the study.
    • Collaborate with medical professionals to assist in diagnosing sleep disorders and recommending appropriate treatments.
    • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the sleep study.
    • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
    • Educate patients about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and treatment options.
    • Adhere to all established standards, policies, and procedures related to sleep technology and patient care.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient interactions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Clinical Experience Required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
    • Strong knowledge of sleep technology, equipment, and sleep disorders.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately score sleep-related events.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to educate patients about sleep-related topics.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
    • Willingness to work night shifts and maintain a flexible schedule.
    • Must become licensed as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 12 months of employment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Clinical licensures, registries, and/or additional sleep-related certifications are highly preferred.
    • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS) certification preferred.
