    Job Description:


    A rigger is responsible for safely and efficiently moving and securing heavy equipment and machinery on construction sites, ships, and other locations.

    This involves attaching cables, ropes, chains, or other lifting devices to the object being moved and using cranes, hoists, or other machinery to lift and position the object.

    Rigging may also involve creating support structures to hold up heavy objects during construction or transportation.


    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect equipment and machinery before and after use to ensure it is safe and in working order.
    • Attach lifting devices to objects being moved and secure them in place.
    • Lift and position heavy objects using cranes, hoists, or other machinery.
    • Create and secure support structures to hold up heavy objects during construction or transportation.
    • Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Communicate with other workers and supervisors to coordinate and execute lifting operations.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Certification in rigging or a related field preferred.
    • Previous experience as a rigger or in a related construction or industrial field.
    • Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
    • Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy objects.
    • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with others.
    • Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
    • Willingness to work in variable weather conditions and at heights.
