    Job purpose

    The Co-Manufacturer & Supplier Supervisor is a dynamic professional responsible for orchestrating seamless collaboration with co-manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the production of high-quality products within a reliable and efficient supply chain. This role involves implementing stringent quality control measures and managing supplier relationships. Fosters effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, co-manufacturers, and suppliers. Conducts on-site audits and inspections for all suppliers and co-manufacturers.

    The Co- Manufacturer and Supplier supervisor also updates and handles communication flow for Quality and Food Safety complaints. The complaints are sent forth to pertinent sources to be reviewed and corrected as necessary. Verifies and standardizes reception of all products and packaging coming from suppliers and co-manufacturers and validates these products comply with the companies Quality and Food Safety global and local standards.

    The Co-Manufacturer & Supplier Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of quality practices, efficient production processes, and reliable supplier relationships, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing and supply chain operations.

    Duties and responsibilities
    • Implement and oversee quality control measures to guarantee the production of top-tier products.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, co-manufacturers, and suppliers.
    • Work closely with co-manufacturers and suppliers to address any issues, resolve disputes, and ensure seamless production and supply processes.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality and food safety standards.
    • Identify areas for continuous improvement in both the co-manufacturing and supply chain processes.
    • Proven experience in quality assurance, co-manufacturing, and supplier management roles.
    • Continuous monitoring of suppliers and co-manufacturers.
    • Verify all suppliers are aware of and in compliance with applicable quality and food safety regulations.
    • Maintain records of supplier evaluations and reevaluations.
    • Generate and comply with verification procedures.
    • Continuously monitor raw ingredient alerts and refusals.
    • Manage communication between plants and suppliers.
    • Coordinate deviations and corrective actions.
    • Record internal complaints, filter them, and communicate.
    • Review complaints to find probable source of complaints.
    • Review complaint investigation and corrective actions.
    • Follow-up to corrective actions for quality deviations.
    • Continuously improve supplier-related nonconformance management process, with emphasis on striving for excellence in true root cause analysis effective verification of prevailing CAPAs executed by suppliers.
    • Weekly and monthly reporting on quality communication processes.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or related technical field is required.
    • PCQI certification.
    • HACCP certified.
    • GFSI Internal Auditor Certified.
    • SQF Certified.
    • Auditing knowledge and abilities.
    • Bilingual preferred, fluency in English and Spanish.
    • Project management knowledge preferred.
    • Systems approach understanding preferred.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Communication skills - verbal and computer skills.
    • Proactive and self-motivated.
    • Negotiation skills.
    • Knowledge in various Microsoft software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Problem analysis and problem solving.
    • Planning and organizational skills.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment.

    • Traveling required 30% Domestic.
